Hypnotherapy

Throughout history, people have used hypnotherapy as a way of tapping into the powerful subconscious mind to break out of bad habits or negative thought patterns. Simply by allowing the conscious mind to take a step back, the ‘lid’ on the subconscious mind opens and we are able to identify stressors, plant positive suggestions and introduce therapeutic ideas that lead us to healthier mindsets.   In a therapy setting this state is achieved by a specially tailored, guided mediation that gently encourages the client to clear their minds and let go of any tension or anxiety. During this process, we feel wonderfully relaxed as the subconscious becomes more receptive and we are able to absorb new ideas and refocus.

By replacing our old thought patterns, redirecting triggers and becoming more mindful of where our attention is we can achieve dramatic and long-lasting results, resulting in happier, more productive lives. Considering our subconscious mind is an enormous 91% of our brainpower it’s hardly surprising more and more people are choosing hypnotherapy for help with issues such as;

-Anxiety

-Depression

-Pain

-Panic Attacks

-Trauma Self-Esteem

-Stress

-Disordered Eating

-Smoking

-Sleep Issues

-Weight Loss

-Identity Issues

-Relationship Problems

-Self-Discovery and many more.

Is Hypnotherapy Safe?

Completely! It’s a gentle state of relaxation that the client chooses for themselves to make positive changes in their lives. At any point during the session, they can ‘wake up’ or stop the process simply by opening their eyes. Despite the various myths, the client has 100% control the whole time.

How Will I Feel During Hypnotherapy?

This depends on how easily the client finds it to relax, and of course, it can take a bit of practice, but hypnotherapy is a calming, peaceful experience that enhances our sense of well-being. Clients leave the session feeling rested and positive.

What Will Happen In A Hypnotherapy Session?

There is plenty of time for the client to talk and offload about how they are feeling and what’s on their mind. Together we can explore any issues that come up and I can answer any questions also. The hypnotherapy part of the session will start when the client is ready. I take them through a relaxation process designed to open and focus the subconscious mind, followed by the suggestion or therapy part, where healing and change take place. Lastly is reorientation - a soothing journey back to full alertness.

Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Many, many people will say yes! Like all types of therapy, it depends on the client’s level of motivation and commitment, but hypnotherapy has the potential to transform the way we think, behave and feel which can be nothing short of life-changing.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

This is something we will talk about at the initial consultation. Each client and situation is completely different, but anywhere between 4 and 6 sessions are fairly typical, with regular reviews and check-ins as we go along.
